How do I put up a video?

When I try to place a video on my post, using the video selection, it doesn't seem to work, just continues to use the coding that I copied from the link, from the video that I am trying to get from youtube.
Is there a problem, is it something that I am doing wrong, or can only selected videos from youtube be shown upon a forum page?

I use the little buttton with the film strip image but I have to preview my post in order to see it and then post my video.

All you need is the width/length of the video,and the link when using the flash code.Not the whole HTML embed code like I was doing....

I'll use today's Oddsmakers video as an example:




The parts in bold go into the boxes at the top when it asks for width and length.In this particular code,the link to the video isn't included,but they usually are included in the embed codes over at Youtube,and since YT is being a bitch to me at the moment,I can't use that as an example.

If the links aren't included in the code,just copy it from the URL box in your browser.Or,if that doesn't work either,try the right-click/properties deal.
